The Bedrooms

All our bedrooms are individually styled by Monika Waldron of Studio One Interiors. Monika enjoyed working on this project mixing and matching until she found a look and feel that represented the island in all its seasons.

All bedrooms are en-suite. There are six rooms on the first floor and one room on the ground floor. The ground floor double room is suitable for a guest/guests with reduced mobility.

Caher Island Room - 1

Situated at the front aspect of the house, the Caher room takes in the best sea views across Clew Bay with the majesty of Croagh Patrick and Connemara in the distance.

This suite accommodates a King bed,  angled in the room to take in a view from each window including the harbour.

Wake up to the sound of seagulls and of waves crashing along the shore.

Inishturk Island Room - 2

Just like the Caher room, the Inishturk room is situated at the front aspect of the house. The Inishturk Suite takes in the best sea views across Clew Bay with the majesty of Croagh Patrick and Connemara in the distance.

This suite accommodates a King bed, angled in the room to take in a view from each window including the famine landscape.

Wake up to the sound of seagulls and of waves crashing along the shore.

Inishbofin Island Room - 3

The Inishbofin room was crafted as a children’s room, with three large bunk beds accommodating six.

The room is styled in green wallpaper bringing the field outside the windows into the room, while setting the harbour in frame beyond.

Clare Island Room - 4

One of our favorite rooms, this large room has a plush king bed of burgundy and an accompanying period styled couch.

The Clare Island room, which includes a bunk-bed,  is ideal for a small family. The wallpaper is of a summer garden, which again brings in the outside famine landscape of potato ridges and stone wall systems.

This room’s spacious en-suite has a bath.

Achill Island Room - 5

On the same side of the house as the Clare Island room, the views of the famine landscape and wall systems are similar, however the Achill room has a better aspect of the sea.

This room has a wonderful four poster bed which frames the floral wallpaper suitably.

The room boasts a Chesterfield couch which can be unfolded to accommodate a double bed if required.

Mweelán Room - 6

The views from the Mweelaun room take in the two mountains on the island and the farming landscape, while also offering a view of the sea and mainland beyond.

Again, with a four-poster king bed which frames the wallpaper and antique furnishings, this room also has two stylish single beds.

Inishbiggle Island room - 7

The only bedroom on the ground floor, the Inishbiggle room has a double bed with a large en-suite.

This room is ideal for guests with reduced mobility. Styled in a country theme with timber panelling, the rooms has a cosy feel.

The room is centrally located in the house making for easy access to the lounge, bar, kitchen and outdoors.
